Do you suffer from Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a common syndrome characterized by chronic widespread body pain and tenderness. If you have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and are 18 to 65 years of age and have been experiencing widespread pain due to fibromyalgia for the past 3 months, you may qualify to participate in a study of an investigational drug. The primary purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug, administered as a patch, compared with placebo (a patch that does not contain any drug) in reducing the signs and symptoms associated with fibromyalgia.
Study Summary:
Participants receive an investigational drug or placebo patch (does not contain any drug) for 13 weeks and apply the patch once a day. A total of 10 office visits will be scheduled during which participants undergo evaluations including physical exam, neurological testing, tender point assessment, laboratory tests, and electrocardiograms.
You may qualify for the study if you:
o Are 18 to 65 years old.
o Have confirmed symptoms of fibromyalgia
o Have widespread body pain that has lasted for at least 3 months.
o Are in generally stable health
o Meet all other study requirements
If eligible, you will receive study-related procedures at no cost. Compensation for travel is also provided. All information provided to us will be kept confidential.
